Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dahlia (est. 2 yrs. of age) has transitioned well from living outdoors at an abandoned building with a small group of 5 other cats to a quiet foster space. She had no identifiable owner but was fed by people in the community. It is unknown if she has ever lived indoors, but it is possible based on observations over time. Her foster believes she has some socialization experience with humans due to ability to be handled but she is fearful initially of new people.
It took Dahlia about 2 weeks to allow physical touch from her foster, and she has progressed to welcome petting, brushing, is now soliciting attention and can be picked up and held. Now she is doling out head bunts, cheek rubs and asking for play. She has shown no aggression. That said, she is fearful during transports in a carrier and in new places with new people. She would do best in a quiet home with someone who is willing to be patient while she adjusts.
Dahlia is affectionate with her cat family and enjoys playing with them. She would likely do best if she could be adopted with at least 1 of her current companions or live with another cat. Unknown history with dogs. She plays with a variety of toys. She uses a litterbox consistently. At a little over 5 pounds, she is a petite girl with a lovely tortoiseshell coat.
