Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Cheeto (est. 1 yr. of age) has transitioned well from living outdoors at an abandoned building with a small group of 5 other cats to a quiet foster space. He had no identifiable owner but was fed by people in the community. It is unknown if he has ever lived indoors, but it is possible based on observations over time. His foster believes he has some socialization experience with humans due to ability to be handled but he is fearful initially of new people.
It took Cheeto about a week to allow physical touch from his foster, and he has progressed to welcome petting, brushing, soliciting attention and can be picked up and held briefly. He has shown no aggression. That said, he is very fearful during transports in a carrier and in new places with new people. He would do best in a quiet home with someone who is willing to be patient while he adjusts and is noted as a "Mighty Mouser candidate. As such, he received an ear tip during his neuter surgery to identify him as sterilized in the event he returns to outdoor living.
Cheeto is affectionate with his cat family and enjoys playing with them. He would likely do best if he could be adopted with at least 1 of his current companions or live with another cat. He plays with a variety of toys. He uses a litterbox consistently and does not spray. Unknown history with dogs. At a little over 6 pounds, he is a nice size with a lovely ginger tabby coat.
