Que guapo chico!

Hola amigos! My name is Chico and I am a 10 months old neutered boy, weighing all of 38 lbs. I came from Rosarito, Mexico and I was found with a bunch of puppies. Now I am with TAP, at my amazing foster home. I am fully bathroom and crate trained.

I am a sweet young lad, and very well behaved. I love my walks and going to the park to run laps. I barely bark at other dogs and get along nicely with them. I make a lot of doggo friends and am always up for playing and socializing with dogs. I currently have foster feline siblings and I get along with them and do not chase, and just hang out! I am energetic outside and a calm Netflix date in the home. I even enjoy watchin' tv! I have proven to be one smart nino and learning quickly. I get along great with cats and kids too!

Yo soy muy amable! I will make the perfect companion for any family. I love kids and dogs too. My cuddly nature will make me such a hit. If not with other dogs, I'd be fine alone too with social playdates. If you think we are going to be amazing together, let's meet! We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.
