My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, gentle Bo is total family dog material, gentle and sweet with children and great with other dogs. With Bo, life is nonstop love and laughter. He’s a big, goofy black lab mix with an affectionate and silly personality.

We think that Bo is a black lab, pittie mix, around 77 lbs and estimated to be 3 years old. Bo is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed.

Fall in love with Bo here: https://youtu.be/KWC9dh_2vcA?si=Hc2C0zQSL9ihRxTK

Bo is currently fostered in a home with a couple, their four dogs, and frequent visits from their five year old grandchild. With his five year old friend, he’s a sweet, gentle and playful boy. With his foster parents, he’s affectionate and obedient. Bo’s foster family describes him as “playful and clumsy,” he has all of that goofy Black Lab charm!

Bo knows a handful of commands, including “sit” and “kennel.” He’s food motivated and takes treats gently, making any future training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. In his foster home, he’s learned how to use his kennel and responds well to his kennel command. See for yourself in his video! He’s good in the car and loads and unloads by himself. He’s social and friendly with everyone he meets, and would be a fun dog to take out and about. He’s still working on his leash manners, but with a little bit of polishing, Bo will be a perfect walking companion in no time. Bo’s foster family reports that he will lay down after coming inside, just to allow you to wipe his paws! He’s such a good and tolerant boy.

Bo is such an adorable sweet boy, a true gentle giant. He seeks out human affection as often as possible, walking up to you to ask for pets, or rubbing his head on your leg. Bo absolutely adores toys, too. He likes to walk around the house carrying small toys or blankets around in his mouth, and he loves rope toys! Bo loves to play fetch with his foster family. He’s also a total water dog and loves the pool!

Here at the rescue, Bo has been friendly and playful with our resident rescue dogs. Bo is exceptionally dog friendly and has fit right in with his foster pack, we believe he would do well in a multi-dog household. However, Bo is people-focused enough to thrive as a solo dog as well.

Bo’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to call his own, but he’s not too picky about the rest. We do not recommend a home with kitties for Bo, he likes to chase! Bo could thrive in a multiple dog household, or as your one and only. He is kid friendly and could live with kids, but he really just wants to live somewhere with lots of pets, regardless of who they’re from.

Bo is such a good boy, looking for his forever family. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
