My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are still looking for a foster or foster to adopt home for Long Legs! He is also Heartworm positive and cannot begin his treatment in the shelter. Shelter life is just too stressful on a dog during treatment.

Long Legs is great with other dogs and kids. He is a happy go lucky dog that would make a great houseguest.

Taking care of a dog during Heartworm treatment is not as hard as you think!

Long Legs will be on a 30-day course of antibiotic, steroids and ivermectin before the actual treatment. After receiving the treatment, he just needs to be kept fairly calm. Leash walking is a great way to accomplish this.

Long Legs is approx. 2 yr. old and weighs 38 lbs. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and on flea and tick prevention.
His bags are packed, and he is just waiting for someone to step up and foster him!

More about this shelter

We are a small rural shelter that works very hard to find homes or rescues for our dogs. We have a 97% save rate at our shelter which we are very pleased about. Our staff and volunteers work very hard for our dogs. We are always looking for volunteers to help us clean kennels, walk dogs, and just spend some time with the dogs. Donations are very important for our shelter, as we operate on donations.
We have some of the best dogs in Ohio and would love for them to find a new furever home with you!
