Mamas ACCT-A-177560 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Mamas must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or EXPERIENCED FOSTER or by MONDAY, OCTOBER 7TH at 10AM. Should Mamas's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Mamas came in as an owner surrender on 10/4 after she tested positive for parvo. She is about 10 months old and the owner had her for about 2 weeks. They told us that she lived with cats and small dogs and that she loves dogs, cats, kids, and strangers, and that she is not potty trained. She had stopped eating, was throwing up, and had issues with her bowel movements, but her water intake was normal. Other than testing positive for parvo, she had no other concerns noted during her medical exam. She has a great appetite and has taken all of her oral medications, but is fearful of needles so we have been unable to give any injectable medications. She is on the smaller side, weighing 33 pounds. While Mamas is medically stable at this time, she is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner who can help her recover from parvo as we can not house her at the shelter for the duration of her treatment and recovery.

Due to being significantly overcapacity with animals and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted. If you are interested in an animal please contact ACCT Philly immediately. Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging an animal.

Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent.
All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly's Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313.
