My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:1/19/2018

Description:

Cosmo is a very chill and laid-back cat who loves affection.

He likes to jump up on the bed or couch and cuddle humans. If his humans are busy he will rub up against their feet and wait for them to have an empty lap.

Cosmo doesn't seem to realize how large he is and will make himself comfortable despite weighing over 15 pounds.

Cosmo has been known to be protective of Jade and will growl at cats who upset her.

Cosmo gets along well with children and adults alike but might nip if he is over stimulated. He doesn't harm people and moves slowly leaving plenty of time for humans to remove their hands from his face. If he does bite, it's very gentle and doesn't hurt.

Words to Describe Me: Chill, quiet, and very affectionate.

Favorite Place to Sleep: Stretched out on the floor or near his humans

Favorite Toy: toy mice

Perfect Day: Spending a quiet day eating treats, sleeping, being pet, spending time with Jade and my owner, and sleeping in a dark corner.

Kitty's Likes: Chin scratches, head scratches, full body pets, tail scratches

Kitty's Dislikes: Be overstimulated

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Scratch my head

Favorite Treat: Churus and meow mix treats

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
