My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Miss Cashew! This stunning 2 year old Hound Mix came from an indoor hoarding situation of around 72 other hounds. At this time, Cashew is still working on his house training and crate training, but does really well on a leash! Cashew is still new to HSEC but she does seem to have a very sociable and people loving personality. So far, Cashew has done well with meeting new people, and she can be a little bit of a big baby, so don't be shocked if she dramatizes things for a pet and snuggle!

Like stated previously, Cashew is still fairly new to HSEC, but from what we can tell, she has a typically goofy hound personality and is very opinionated! Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, dewormer, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website hsecarolina.org where you will find our adoption application. Please fill it out and submit, and once your application is reviewed, someone will reach out to you to set up an appointment. Thank you!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
