If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Louie is a 1.5 year old purebred chocolate beagle. He is a sweet, cuddly boy who loves attention.
He currently lives in a home with an older dog, older cat and newborn. Unfortunately that means not a lot of time for walks, runs and play which he needs. For his new home, he would love a family who can give him daily exercise and plenty of attention. After exercising he loves to curl up on a lap.
He is housebroken, crate trained and knows basic commands. He can walk on a leash but still tugs quite a bit (especially if there are rabbits around). He also can go on short runs on the leash.
He can be a bit nervous with new people and animals at first but he always comes around. He gets along with other dogs once he gets to know them. He mostly gets along with cats but he frequently tries to play with them and can be a bit too rough. He has never injured the cat but he will tackle and wrestle him a bit harder than we would like. It would probably be best if he had a new home without cats.
