Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Fina is a 2.5 year old female chinchilla who was transferred from a partner organization due to stress in the shelter environment.
She is a little on the shy side and spent her first few weeks at Tiny Whiskers kacking and hiding from us, but she will take treats from her foster dad's hands and will come up to the front of the cage to investigate. She gets nervous once you open the cage door, but with patience she will let you pet her a little bit. Like most chinchillas she prefers not to be held.
We would love for Fina to find a home with another female chinchilla to bond with, but would also consider a solo home with plenty of time and attention to give her. Her surrendering owner reported that she was "active, curious, and loving" but all the changes have stressed her out! With time, consistency, and a lot of love we expect her to come out of her shell and blossom. She is already making progress with soliciting attention (mostly to beg for treats, but that's a start) and allowing petting.
We are able to meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis, MN. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
