My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Duluth, MN

This petite 'lil sweetheart is Mimi! She was rescued from a reservation when she was pregnant and, tragically, all of her puppies died. She also has some scars on her head/face so I suspect she didn't have the best first year of life. Despite all of this hardship, she is so affectionate and greets every new person with joy as she just desires to be loved!! She also enjoys following me around to assess the next adventure or cuddle with me.

She is house-broken/potty-trained, does well in the car, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Mimi also does well on a leash, but does get excited when those sneaky little squirrels and rabbits come out. When at home, she is good at entertaining herself with all the toys, watching out the window, or taking a nap, which is lovely when I have work to get done. She may get a little scared with new dogs, but she enjoys playing with them once they become friends. Unfortunately, she does not do well in a home with cats. Lastly, she is super quiet (no barking at home with me); the one time she barked was on a walk when she wanted people passing by to come give her some pets.

Mimi is such a joy to have around and she doesn't shed much either! I think she would make a good addition to pretty much any home (just no cats, sadly).

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
