Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Harris Tweed (aka Chunky Monkey or Monkey) and I was born around the same time my mom Mrs. McCave was removed from an overcrowding situation. I have 4 other siblings, but recently I've been living with my foster family along with my momma and brother Sneepy. I'm still a kitten so I enjoy playing hard but I also love a good nap, especially if I can find a super secret spot to take it in. Sneepy and I get along great. I haven't been around any dogs or younger humans.
Empty boxes might be my favorite toys but I also love springs and crinkly balls. I was a little more shy when I was younger but I've started interacting with my foster family and grabbing my foster mom's leg in the morning when I think she's too slow with breakfast. If I'm a little sleepy I'm more likely to accept being held and petted but I don't seek out attention. I'm fairly adventurous and often like to play or sit by myself. My fur is so soft and thick which probably helped get me the Chunky Monkey nickname. I think I finally figured out how to drink water the right way, but sometimes I still like to stir the water around with my paw and then fling it all over.
I'm pretty cautious around humans yet so plan to give me some adjustment time to get to know you and my new home and build trust. I startle more easily so a quieter, calmer home might be nice, but I think with time I'd be okay in other environments as well. As a kitten, I'd need to have a young and playful cat in my home to wrestle, cuddle, and play with toys together.
Come see me at the Petco in Stillwater at 2080 Market Drive, Stillwater, MN 55082.
I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
