Diva Sands has been with her foster parents for 1 1\2 months and has been a real sweetheart and easy to
love addition! After an adjustment period of less than 24 hours, with quiet time and patience she has proven
what a true lap cat is!! Diva loves affection and attention, often spending as long as you have time to
snuggle. She is a beautiful, calm companion who likes to play at times both independently and interactive.
She is also a cute alarm clock sometimes eager for breakfast! Diva has a little wobble in her walk, but that
doesn't stop her from jumping, playing or cuddling. Diva Sands is a great Furever companion with so much
love to give!

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
