If not adopted beforehand, this dog will attend the Super Dog Adoption Event on Saturday, November 2nd at Clark Farms in Matunuck, RI. Learn more about this event and sign up for 10am Early Entry HERE
Age: 5 months (as of 10/25/24)
Weight: ~ 30 lbs (as of 9/19/24)
Location: RI
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Meet Woody and his brother Wolfie, sweet, playful, and gentle pups with a mellow demeanor. Woody is a bit more chill than Wolfie. Both boys’ intelligence shines through in their ability to learn new tricks quickly and their friendly nature makes them a delight to be around. Despite his young age, Woody has a calming presence, and he loves nothing more than to cuddle up close, making him the perfect companion for quiet evenings. His interactions with kids and cats remain unknown, so a home that can help him navigate these new experiences would be ideal.
Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog.
Adopting Woody means bringing home a bundle of joy, a friend who will offer unconditional love and companionship. His gentle spirit and playful nature are sure to bring warmth and happiness to any home.
Medical Note: This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
