My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Felder is a gentle and sweet boy who is showing early signs of being food/treat motivated. He recently came to AFH from a hoarding situation where he lived with over 150 other chihuahua mixes in what our rescue partner called 'one of the worst properties I've been on' - so he is understandably still getting acclimated and hasn't shown his foster his full personality yet. In fact he hasn't said a peep. He hasn't shown any signs of being yappy or aggressive towards his foster or other dogs. Right now he is content to hang out in his crate, eat food from his foster's hands, and go on mini adventures just outside the safety of his crate. He has come to sit under his foster mom's desk while she worked. Stay tuned because we'll update his profile with more as he lets his personality come out! A few sneak peak videos:

The adoption process typically takes ~1 week. You will not take a dog home on the same day you meet him/her.

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out, an interview with one of our volunteers (this can be done at the adoption event), a home visit is required prior to the animal going to their new home.
