My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Devi came to AFH from one of our rescue partners. They were called by a Sheriff's Department in Florida to assist with a hoarding case involving '50 to 100' Chihuahuas. When they arrived, there were over 150! They were all living in a filthy mobile home surrounded by trash and feces. The trailer had no running water or electricity. Our rescue partner said 'It was, honestly, one of the worst properties I've been on and I have been on some BAD ones.' Thanks to our wonderful fosters we were able to rescue 8 dogs.

The adoption process typically takes ~1 week. You will not take a dog home on the same day you meet him/her.

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out, an interview with one of our volunteers (this can be done at the adoption event), a home visit is required prior to the animal going to their new home.
