My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Atlas! I'm a super spunky and playful boy! I'll keep you entertained forever with my love for wand toys, feathers, and I'm working on playing fetch too if you toss me a mouse! I'm really smart and adventurous too! I love climbing on my cat perches and watching the world go by in my big sunning window.

I've had a rough start to my young life, so I'm still working on my people skills. I try really really hard to be friends with people that I meet but I'm a bit nervous about it. My foster parents have been helping me by spoiling me with wet food and Churu treats to show me that I'm okay. I'm usually more calm and open to meeting new people when they give me some food peace offerings. I like getting scratched down my back, and have started to find my purr!

I love the company of other cats. I've been fostered with my littermates, other kittens, and even another momma cat. I would prefer to go home with one of my friends or to a home that has another playful kitty that can show me the ropes. I'm young enough to possibly integrate into a home with a cat-savvy dog. I get scared by some kiddos, so I would like a home with either just adults or older kids that can respect my space.

My foster parents say I'm so handsome and such a nice kitty. I'm ready for my forever home to relax in and show you how fun I can be! My foster parents think it would be a good idea to start me off in a small room so I can acclimate to my new home and have a better chance to bond with my new family! I would love to be your kitty!

I am about 4.5 months old. I've been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you my special person? Please apply today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
