My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wisp, zip, zap! What's that? It's Sprite, just zipping around doing a big explore!

This curious girl came to TCR a super nervous kitten who didn't trust the weird humans one bit. After some time in her foster home, she is starting to change her tune. Maybe those humans aren't all that bad... They do have foodies and toys after all.

Sprite enjoys exploring her foster home, watching the world go by in sunny windowsills, and running around with her foster brothers Sprocket and Sprout. Wand toys are simply the best things and Sprite has quite the talent in catching that string. She'll even try to drag it away with her!

This little lady will still need some help to overcome her fears and open up to the snuggly kitty we know she is inside (she did nap with her foster momma all cuddled up once!) She is food and treat motivated and is just starting to approach people for scritches and snacks (churu is simply the best!).

She would love to have another kitty around to show her the ropes and also play, play, play. And she has been tolerant of the active dog in her foster home so she may do ok with a cat-savvy dog as well as a cat-savvy child.

Sprite is around five months old, FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and spayed. Are you ready to be this little girl's everything? Apply to adopt her soon!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
