Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Located in Troy, MO
Macarena is a sweet and shy lady that loves to snuggle and play.
At Macarena's vet visit it was discovered she had a painful inguinal hernia that was in need of immediate repair. She was scheduled for surgery the next day! There is a possibility the hernia could come back, so her adopters will need to watch for that.
Macarena certainly didn't have the happiest of beginnings and we are grateful she did not end up in the wrong hands where she didn't get the medical help she needed. She is now on the mend and becoming more active and playful. She craves companionship and just wants to fulfill her cavalier destiny and be someone's loyal companion.
Macarena came from a place known as a puppy mill and did not get the socialization she needed as a young puppy. Her new family will need to continue to work on her confidence and show her lots of love and patience.
Macarena's adoption is $500. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Next steps can be found at leiashope.org.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
