Meet the Pet
**Rufus just graduated the Paws in Prison Program for where he received 8 weeks of obedience training. He was crate trained, learned manners and now knows lots of tricks. Rufus also passed his Canine Good Citizen test with flying colors!
Rufus is one happy and well behaved pup. He was adopted from us as a puppy and returned because he killed their chickens, so no chickens for him! Otherwise, he loves everything and everybody. He is good with kids and very good with other dogs. He is smart as a whip too. He will sit upon command and is housetrained. He also loves booty scratches and affection. His handlers at the prison said he likes to be right by their side, leaning against them. He loves human contact. Rufus would make a great family pet or companion for any dog lover. He is full grown at 45lbs and is a year old old.
If you would like more information or want to meet Rufus, please go to our website www.schspets.org to complete an adoption application and our adoption coordinator will contact you. You can also call the shelter at 870-269-5200.
