Kash is a 5 month old Australia Shepherd mix, who needs to be fixed at the age appropriate time. Who has his 6 month Bordetella shots, Rabies vaccination, and all of his puppy shots. He is on Flea/Tick/heartworm prevention.
He is an energetic boy, but is also very smart, cuddly, and calm. He will need to continue his potty training but is already catching on very quickly. He is also crate trained.
Kash is on the smaller side with short little legs, and may or may not be smaller than the average Aussie it's still hard to tell. But he definitely has some shorter legs.
He LOVES people and just wants love and pets, he could nip younger children as he's a herding dog, but hasn't been tested around children yet. He's curious about cats and may need some redirection with them, but typically will stop if being told to. He loves to watch the horses at his foster home as they walk by. Definitely has potential with herding or anything else you may want to try with him down the road. He also enjoys playing with other puppies and older dogs and does well with entertaining himself.
He loves to play, run, and just needs a job to call his own. He listens pretty well especially when he picks up or chews something he's not supposed to. He knows sit, lay down, stay, & paw, and he's learning leave it. He's pretty calm and good on the leash.
He is not a fan of water but he is coming around slowly. He is a pretty good passenger in the car, will need chew toys in the car until the chewing faze is over. His favorite toys are squeaky balls & hard chews. He is learning how much he loves to play fetch.
Requirements:
* Fenced yard
* Meet and greet
* More training
* A home that will fix him at the age appropriate time
* Dog or dogs that can tolerate puppies because he loves to play, but he's not crazy when he plays
Available in New Port Richey, FL

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 87,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
