My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taylor is looking for their forever home!

WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Taylor is a super friendly guy who is eager to meet all humans and all doggos! He also loves children but he doesn't know his own strength and is working on not jumping up on them (and all people) - however, he also likes to jump up to give you hugs - which we think is pretty darn cute!

Due to his exuberance, he can be forward in his greetings and is working on regulating his enthusiasm for all the people and dogs. Taylor coexists with the cats wonderfully and when he is getting to be too playful and excited for the cats, he disengages when told to stop or leave them. He also has not exhibited a prey drive for small animals when outside and instead enjoys romping and enjoying all the sniffs!

Outside of mastering his own happy exuberance, Taylor is an incredibly obedient dog. He knows the commands sit, stay, come, lay, and is quickly learning paw/shake. He has exhibited that he is fully potty trained and transitioned into the home without any accidents. Currently, Taylor does not seem to be a very barky boy either!

Taylor is a very playful guy that still has some puppy energy! He loves to play with toys and does not chew on anything he shouldn't. Antlers and nylabones are his favorite! Once his energy is burned out, he is happy to settle up next to you.

Taylor is a little velcro-pup who likes to hang out and be close to you! He will make someone (or someones) very, very happy.

More about this rescue

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
