My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Queenie is looking for their forever home!

WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Queenie is a dream pup! She's a polite, medium energy lady. She loves a walk or a game of fetch in the yard, but a snuggle bug on the sofa once we come inside.

Queenie does not appear to know many commands and yet she is so polite and well mannered! She is great in her crate and she is easily lead to it where she will go in - and doesn't bark or whine. She gives us space when we are eating, she's attentive and doesn't pull on leash, she sleeps through the night, she doesn't chew on or destroy anything (besides tennis balls), she rarely barks (just at times in yard with other dogs), she doesn't jump, she's not mouthy, and she has done great being bathed.

Currently, Queenie appears to be very disinterested in other dogs, including when seeing them on walks at a distance. She's great on leash - no pulling or attempts to chase squirrels. She much prefers all people - and is amazing with kids! She lives with two young, elementary-aged kids and she will actually sneak up on their beds at night to snuggle them - it's very sweet.

So what's the catch?! Queenie's nemesis is the Roomba! Poor, sweet girl was very distressed the one time it was used and she was around - from both her crate and when out of it, she wants to bite at it. No Roomba?! No problems! Or, like us, you can just run it while she's outside.

Queenie truly loves all people inside and out of our house, and is wonderful with kids. We think anyone would be be lucky to call her yours!

More about this rescue

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
