Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Location: Lexington, SC
Name: Buster
Age: ~3 years
Breed: DSH - Solid Orange - 11.5 lbs
M/F: M
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & FVRCP; neutered; microchipped
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with others dogs; would not recommend him around smaller children; can dog test upon request
Aggression or medical issues?: no known medical - watch video for “aggression”
Reason for rehoming?: TNR cat that about broke my trap after he was caught. Got him fixed and put him in holding to recover a couple days only to discover he was friendly and trying to rub all over me. Figured I would give him a chance to find a home before releasing him back
House/crate trained?: litter trained
Additional info/story (personality):
He is an ORANGE CAT. He meets the orange cat definition beginning to end. Sometimes when I walk up to him he will hiss at me then shove his hand in my head for me to pet him. Then when I stop petting him he will grab my hand with his paws/claws and pull me back in. Then sometimes mid pet he will nibble on me to tell me he is extra happy. He also actually uses the cat wheel when I direct him on it. Has 0 idea what to do with toys. Now granted, he is freshly neutered so there is still time for him to settle… but as of right now he definitely has a big demanding personality. But, he is also a huge big friendly love bug. Oh also, very talkative.
Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

We are foster based only at this time.

Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue
In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
