Meet Alex, Alex is a sweet, handsome, patient pup with gorgeous golden eyelashes. He walks very politely on a leash, whether he is in front of you or behind you, and seems just fine with either harness or collar. He pulls only minimally, even when seeing wildlife that catch his attention, and he is easily redirected. He is very good with car rides. He is a little scared/nervous about getting into the car, though. Treats will help. He is a little shy around big groups of people - we passed a larger group, and Alex tucked himself backwards between my legs to hide from them when they asked if they could say hello. He seems a little sensitive to sudden sounds. However, he never showed any signs of aggression even when he seemed nervous or startled. Overall, he is a very calm boy and very gentle. He is quite food motivated. He also seems to know `sit,` `stay,` `wait,` and `gentle,`.
Come see more photos of me here:Alex has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out his playgroup video here:
