My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Archie
Age: 1 year old
Gender: Male
Weight: 13 kgs
Breed: Springer Spaniel Mix
Spayed/Neutered? yes

Vaccinated? Yes

HeartWorm Negative? yes
Good with dogs? yes
Good with kids? yes
Good with cats? We don t know
Has experience on a leash? Yes and he does it pretty well.
Potty trained? ? Yes, he is clean in his area at the foster facility and will adjust quickly to new house rules.
Crate trained? no
Where does the dog stay when it is alone? Currently, Archie shares his space with other dogs as his foster home also cares for other rescues. While he doesn't have his own dedicated space, Archie is an independent dog who is comfortable being apart from the pack when he chooses.
Where does the dog sleep? Archie sleeps in his foster home, in a dog bed placed on the floor in a designated area.
Temperament/Personality: Archie is a happy and active young dog who spends most of his day playing with his foster sister, Blue (also up for adoption), as well as the other dogs. He loves to play fetch and is very smart and food-motivated, which makes him easy to train. In his foster home, Archie has already learned commands like sit, down, and stay using treats.
Since Archie is highly active and eager to learn, he needs plenty of exercise. While he enjoys cuddling, he prefers to spend most of his time playing. Please note that young, energetic dogs like Archie do best with older children, as they can sometimes play a little rough if not handled properly by younger kids.
What does the dog's ideal home look like? Archie is an active dog, so he would thrive in a young family or with a young couple that can match his energy levels. As a sensitive, intelligent, working-breed boy, Archie needs a dog-savvy home that can help build his confidence through

positive reinforcement training. He would do best in a household with older children or adults only, giving him the space to grow his confidence in a home environment.
Archie would excel as a second dog in the household, as he is very active and needs a lot of exercise. If he were left alone for extended periods, having another dog around would help, as being completely alone can trigger separation anxiety for him.
Archie will make a wonderful companion—he loves cuddles and affection. As an active dog, he will also enjoy walks, hiking trails, and social outings, making him the perfect loving companion for any adventure.
What is the dog's rescue story? Archie was cruelly abandoned by his former owner, along with two other dogs. Unfortunately, due to the number of rescue dogs we already have, we were only able to save Archie.
Archie is waiting in Mexico until a family is commited to fostering her or taking her on a trial. If you are interested, apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org her adoption fee is $550
