My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Metta is a 17 year old cat who looks like a kitten and lives next door. She is small and thin. She used to be an indoor cat, but she stopped using her cat box and her owner believes it's a social problem due to one of their two other cats bullying her, a new dog and three young children. They made her an outdoor cat.

She came to me begging for water this summer. The neighbors have water and food outside for her, but we have very active racoons that visit every night and I'm sure they eat it. She was also weak and very thin and very hungry, with an abscess on the side of her face. I began feeding her twice a day and almost two months later she is still very hungry and hangs around to be fed. The abscess healed. She loves to be petted and will let me pick her up and cuddle her for a minute or so. I have a video of her purring while I pet her.

Winter is coming and I would love to see her in a warm, welcoming home that's not too busy. The neighbors agree.
