Meet George – the Gentle Giant!

George is a sweet and lovable 2-year-old mystery mix, but what he lacks in breed specifics, he more than makes up for with his heart of gold! This gentle giant might be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time, and he’ll warm up, acting as if you’ve been best friends forever. George truly adores people of all ages, and he’s fantastic with other pups, too!

Found as a stray in Texas, George has made the big journey to New York in hopes of finding his forever family. He’s looking for a loving home where he can settle in, share cuddles, and show off his friendly personality. George may have had a rough start, but he’s ready for a new chapter filled with love, friendship, and plenty of belly rubs. Are you the one to give this gentle soul the happy ending he deserves?

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
