Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Lincoln, and I'm looking for a happy ending in a loving, furever home! I used to live with my human mama in Mississippi. She died suddenly and unexpectedly. 😢 I was confiscated by animal control there when the police found her and was taken to a local high-kill shelter. 😢😢
While my mom's family was here taking care of her home and affairs, they got me out of the shelter and drove for 3.5 days cross-country back to California.
I am a 2-year-old lab/pit mix. I still have my puppy energy. I have been working on his leash manners and commands. I LOVE to cuddle, think I'm a lap dog. I am crate-tained and potty trained.
I would be best in a multi-person home with older kids (10+) where I can get a lot of stimulation and exercise. Because of my size, strength, and energy, I probably wouldn't be good in a home with little kids.
I am good with mellow/submissive medium-to-large-breed dogs. I have a high prey drive, so small dogs, cats, or other small animals. I am an EXCELLENT gopher hunter, though!
I am being fostered in Paso Robles, CA. 🍷
