Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stormy came to us on September 27, 2024, the day before Hurricane Helene went through our area. The vet says she was about 12 weeks old, so we will call her birthday July 4, 2024. Stormy was in the parking lot of a local grocery store, hiding under cars and climbing up in engine areas as her rescuers were trying to catch her. She was terrified, of course, but immediately calmed down once she was caught. She must have had positive human contact somewhere along her brief journey in life because she is a funny and cuddly little sweetheart.
Although she is friendly and very affectionate, it was obvious she had never been inside a home before because she didn’t know how to play, and it took her a couple of days in our foster room before she figured out the litter box. Now, when she is awake, it’s constant play and 100% litter box success.
On a different but positive note, Stormy has figured out how to escape from our foster room and then how to let herself back in. So she comes out to be with us and to play, but then goes back to the foster room to nap with the younger fosters and to use the litter box. Although she has access to the entire house, she still enjoys the company of the kittens and is very gentle with them. She is also very well behaved with our two adult male cats (a shelter rescue and a former feral), so we are confident she would be a good companion for another kitten or an older cat.
Stormy is FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated and spayed. The $150 adoption fee covers a thorough medical exam, deworming, vaccines, blood tests, and her spay.
