My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Brownie (aka Cucumber)!
Playful Maltipoo Puppy Extraordinaire

Looking for a pint-sized ball of energy with a heart as sweet as his name is quirky? Look no further! Brownie is a charming Maltipoo who’s all about fun, naps, and cuddles. He’s still figuring out puppy life, but one thing’s for sure—he’s already a master of snuggling with his favorite blanket.

Why Brownie is the Best:

  • Playtime Pro: Whether it’s toys or his four doggy buddies, Brownie loves to play and keep the fun rolling.

  • Smart & Adventurous: Quick to learn and even quicker to explore! This curious little guy is always ready to check out new surroundings.

  • Cautiously Affectionate: A bit shy at first, but once he warms up, his tail never stops wagging, and the cuddles are endless!

  • Gets Along with Everyone: Dogs, cats, kids, adults, and even the elderly—Brownie’s the life of the party for all ages!

Brownie's Dream Home:

  • A Playmate Preferred: He loves a good play session, so another playful dog would make him extra happy (but he’s cool on his own, too!).

  • Fenced Yard Preferred: Brownie’s got energy to burn and would love a safe space to run around like a little tornado.

  • A Loving Family: Ideal if someone’s home most of the day, but he’s flexible—he just needs a family that loves fun and cuddles!

  • Patience and Understanding: He’s still learning the ropes with leash and house training, so a little patience goes a long way!

The Fine Print:

  • House training: Not fully there yet, but he knows to go potty outside when taken.

  • Crate training: Yes—he’s a pack-and-play pro!

  • Leash training: In progress (he’s working on it!).

  • Shedding: Nope!

  • Barking: Only during playtime with his furry friends.

  • Resource guarding: None.

  • Traveling: Loves a good road trip.

  • Commands: Knows his name, “go potty,” and how to go up and down stairs. “Come” is still in the works!

Brownie is a lovable little dude with plenty of puppy energy and tons of love to give. Could he be the perfect match for your family?

Cucumber  is up to date on vaccines, and is neutered.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are with fosters on the east coast. The location in which the foster resides should be listed with each profile.

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
