Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Godfrey is an energetic guy! He's looking for a home where he'll have an outlet for all that playful energy. He seems to really like toys, especially ones he can squish in his mouth. If you're up for adventure, he's your guy!
His foster says " Don't let Godfrey's stoic look fool you, he's a big sweetie! He is calm, gentle, and very loving. He is great on the leash and loves a casual walk with some good sniffs along the way. People really interest him and he wants to greet everyone he sees! Other dogs, cats, and squirrels interest him but he had no aggressive reaction to any when out on walks. Godfrey is perfectly content with snoozing away on the couch but can be roused with the sound of a bag of treats. He's very food motivated and loves to show off his trick of catching treats in the air. He can sit too!
In my time with him, Godfrey did not chew or destroy anything he wasn't supposed to. He was a big fan of harder things like bones or beefhide to chew on. He was excellent at waiting to go outside to potty and had no accidents. Godfrey would thrive in a relaxed, slower paced lifestyle to match his energy.

Welcome to CMHS! In continuous operation since 1943, the Central Missouri Humane Society promotes the well-being of companion animals – pets that enrich the lives of the people who love them.
The Columbia Humane Society was formed in 1943 to provide shelter and care for Columbia’s abandoned animals. Originating in a little structure on Creasy Springs Road, the organization has grown into today’s Central Missouri Humane Society, a regional animal welfare agency caring for thousands of animals annually and providing veterinary services for low-income pet owners.
