My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So many cuties! Shelters are full of great dogs. Walker is one of those babies looking for a home. He is smart and silly. Walker is one of the lucky ones too. He had a litter mate that died from parvo. Lucky might be an understatement. Walker soaks up love and is ready to learn about the good life.

Came in as a stray on 9/11/24.
Pick up with A281349 from the 10th district CPD.

Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
