My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is an 8 pound, one year-old, male, Yorkie/Chihuahua cross. He and another small dog were rescued from a very neglectful situation; severely underweight, covered with fleas and full of worms, he was in sad condition. Fortunately, a good Samaritan that adopted a dog from the Ark last year, was able to rescue him and the other small after a couple of weeks of tense negotiations. She currently has the other dog, while Oscar has been with us for two weeks. He has been dewormed is on flea tick and heartworm prevention, has received vaccinations, received a thorough physical exam, and was neutered. His examinations, aside from the parasites and malnutrition, revealed two small Cherry Eyes. His condition doesn’t require any intervention and doesn’t appear to bother him. He is mostly housebroken and as each day passes improves. His veterinary bills, between two different vets, total over $400. His adoption fee, to help offset about half of that is $199.
