My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mantis came to us as part of a group of 7 female rats. They are estimated to be 3 months old as of October 2024. They were part of a larger intake of animals that we assisted another rescue with.
All seven girls are living together currently, and must go to new homes with at least one buddy. If you do not already have female rats, we recommend groups of 3 or more! Rats are very social. You can choose any rats from the group of 7 to adopt, or even adopt all 7!
Mantis is the shyest of the 7, but she is so adorable and is making progress on her confidence! She would do best being adopted with several of her siblings or moving in with an outgoing, confident group of rats (she does need to go with at least one sibling still!) who can teach her that people are awesome!! She prefers to stick to the back of the cage and is the last one to come up and say hi when her foster family opens the door. But we are working hard to gain her trust and help her to be brave!
With time and patience we expect these ladies to all become very friendly, adventurous companions. They have made great strides since they came into the rescue and are becoming sweeter and more confident every day.
We can meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis, MN. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
