My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colonel came to us as part of a group of 7 female rats. They are estimated to be 3 months old as of October 2024. They were part of a larger intake of animals that we assisted another rescue with.

All seven girls are living together currently, and must go to new homes with at least one buddy. If you do not already have female rats, we recommend groups of 3 or more! Rats are very social. You can choose any rats from the group of 7 to adopt, or even adopt all 7!

Colonel is learning about people still but is definitely one of the more curious girls of the bunch. She has shown a little bit of curious mouthiness but no aggression- rats just tend to explore with their mouths! She is handleable, but wiggly and prefers to interact with you on her own terms. She will crawl right into your arms, or onto the floor for free roam... And will cautiously take treats from you!

With time and patience we expect these ladies to all become very friendly, adventurous companions. They have made great strides since they came into the rescue and are becoming sweeter and more confident every day.
