Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Parker was saved from an Alabama Puppy Mill just over a year ago. He was so matted he could hardly walk. We are just guessing on breed mix and do not make any claims of him being hypoallergenic. He will required regular grooming about every 8 weeks.
Today Parker enjoys going outside and sitting in the sun, running around the yard and his safe place seems to be under the bed.
We have no idea how old Parker is, his teeth were so bad none of the vets could give us an age, we are guessing 5+ years old. He is heartworm negative, neutered, chipped, current on vaccinations, preventions and just had a dental cleaning done.
Parker has been through so much, we have no idea how long he lived that horrific life, but what we do know is he will never live it again. So we are looking for a patient person / family who has a quieter lifestyle. He comes with some quirks which should be expected based on his history. I have a doggy door, so he is used to using it to go outside but he may never be fully potty trained, but currently with using the doggy door he goes out at least 90% of the time.
This is a sweet and energetic boy who just wants to be safe and loved and I will keep looking until we can find that for him. He is not leash trained, we have fenced yards and he loves going out and being in the yard unrestricted to wander as he sees fit in a safe space. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. He has not been cat tested and I would not place him with small children, they may just be a little too much for him. He has done well with the other foster dogs in his area with no issues and he has a lot of energy and can be vocal when trying to get your attention. He loves it if you try and "catch" him, trust me it is very hard to do cause he is quick on his feet!
Parker is being fostered in Cookeville, TN. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in applying to adopt Parker, you need to fill out our adoption application is that is on our website, that is the first step in our process. The application can be found at https://safehaventn.com/applications-and-forms/adoption-application/ . Thank you!

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process starts with submitting an Adoption Application which can be found on our website at www.safehaventn.com. From there you will be contacted by one of our Adoption Coordinators. Our adoption donations are usually $150 for adult dogs and $200 - $300 for puppies - depending on the animal, breed, etc. We expect that our pets will live indoors, and will be adopted to families who have the desire to add another family member to their home. A vet reference is required.
