Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
Whirly Girl is a former mom of 5 who's been relieved of her duties and is ready to party! She is very energetic, and likes to climb around when having zoomies, which is most of the time. She is super affectionate and enjoys hanging out with her humans, and will go in for nuzzles and headbutts regularly.
Miss Whirly does have some boundaries and does not like to be picked up, is not a lap cat and is not very cuddly. She's quite playful but is still learning that hands are not toys. Whirly would do best in a home without small children because of this, she's easily overstimulated and needs a calmer environment. She is a wonderful companion and will spend a lot of time laying on your desk or a nearby surface and just wanting to be around you. Her favorite toys are soft toys and she likes fish more than other meats.
Whirly Girl is about two years old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
