Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I`m Zoey, a sweet and snuggly 7-month-old Basset mix who’s looking for my forever family. I came to BROOD after my previous family realized just how much energy and attention us puppies need. Even though we`re known for being laid-back, I’m still full of curiosity and love learning new things!
Right now, I`m working hard on my house training and rarely have accidents. It doesn`t take me long to bond with my people—I love being close to my family, and I thrive on attention. That’s why I need to be the only dog in the home; I want all the cuddles and affection for myself! I also don’t get along with cats and will happily chase them around, so a cat-free home is best for me.
While I may still be discovering my personality, one thing’s for sure: I’m great with kids and love spending time with them. Whether we’re playing or cuddling, I’m always ready for fun!
If you’re ready to add some extra love and companionship to your life, I’d love to meet you! Contact BROOD today to start our journey together. My adoption fee is $250.00.
**Only BROOD-approved adopters can meet a dog (no exceptions). Our adoption application is on the BROOD website at https://brood-va.org/adoptionapp/. We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania. Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state. We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference.
The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog’s age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD’s adoption fees are determined based on the age of the dog. 10/13/2024
