My name is Red!

Hey y'all. Red here. I am an adult spayed female Treeing Walker Coonhound looking for a new home. Overall I am a pretty easy going gal. Despite being a hound, I don't really howl or bark too much here at the shelter. I can be a bit nervous at first, especially with new people and in new situations, but I do warm up, and when I do so you'll be lucky to see my sweet side! I love my people and I am a very loyal gal.

I have met older kids and tend to do better with calmer kids than energetic youngin's. Cats I have never met. And dogs? Well, I've met a few. It takes me a minute to relax around them too. But I have made a few friends so a doggy sibling is a potential!

Here at the shelter I have had a couple cherry-eye surgeries. I am doing better, but may nee some further medical care in the future.
