My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moto Moto! He is a 2 month old lab mix puppy. He and his sister, Mei Mei, are bottle feeder pups that we rescued from the shelter when they were just 2 weeks old. The Chonks, as we affectionately call them are wonderful puppies! They love everyone and just want to play and have a good time. They love other dogs and have been around cats too. The cats do not love the pups as much as the pups love them!
Moto Moto is the bigger of the two pups. He is a funny puppy that loves to play and have a good time. He will follow you around the yard and is a busy body. He wants to see what you are doing and “help” too!
The Chonks sleep in a crate at night and are doing great with that. They will cry when they have to go potty. We haven’t had any poop accidents in over a week! They will be medium/large size and Moto Moto will likely be in the 50-60 pound range with his sister being smaller than that.
Just remember that no matter how little and cute puppies are, they get big and require lots of training to become good cabine citizens. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. You can find the application at: https://noahs-bark.org/adoption-application. We will arrange a meet and greet with the pet with approved applications only. Please note, an approved adoption application and meet and greet does not guarantee you will be selected to adopt the pup. We do not show our dogs any other time. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Noah's Bark restricts pet adoptions to residences within a 30 mile radius of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals nor do we do any type of long distance adoptions. We do not adopt to persons under 21 years of age. We require prospective adopters to meet both us and the animal, fill out an application and be interviewed. Adoptions are not done a first come first serve basis. Generally, applications are accepted online, approved applications are scheduled for a private meet and greet, and applicants are selected based upon the best match of the particular pet's temperament and needs. A meet and greet does not guarantee a dog will be placed with you. If an application is approved we usually will require home check so we can ensure the animals safety. These pets are not for sale and the decision of where to place them is solely at the discretion of Noah's Bark. We reserve the right to refuse placement of our pets to any individual who does not meet our criteria. We also reserve the right to keep our reasons for refusal confidential within our organization. The welfare of our rescue animals is our top priority.

There is a required tax-deductible adoption fee for each dog. The adoption fee is $300 - $400 for dogs and $500 for puppies (note some purebreds and smaller dogs may be adopted at a higher fee. Seniors and special needs pets may be adopted at a reduced fee). The adoption fee must be paid via cash, Venmo, or PayPal. A spay/neuter deposit by check is required for puppy adoptions. The adoption fee is used to help offset some of the cost needed to operate our rescue organization. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to placement.

We have an adoption contract which requires you to return the animal to Noah's Bark if at anytime you should no longer be able to keep your pet. Pets adopted through Noah's Bark can not be sold, traded, given away or disposed of in any way. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot guarantee their health or temperament.

Go meet their pets

We do not hold a weekly adoption event. We arrange private meet and greets with the adoptable pet and approved adoption applications. If you are interested in one of our pups, please complete and return an adoption application and if we feel it is a fit, will contact you to arrange a meet and greet with the dog.

More about this rescue

Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded by Lila Hemenway in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We get dogs of all sizes and ages, purebreds and mixes alike. Although we primarily rescue dogs and puppies, we also occasionally have cats and kittens for adoption.
