My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.

I can go home today!

Boof tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

A volunteer writes: Boof's forever searching for a friendly face in the crowd but there's so much going on and she's feeling a little unsure. We know she was somebody's kitten once, a loved and cherished part of a family, and she certainly will be again, but the Care Center has been quite an adjustment, as it can sometimes be, and finding her place hasn't come as easily as she'd like. I usually see Boof stretched out in her condo and I always try to say hello. I want so badly to be a friendly face for her. More often than not, Boof picks herself up to go right to the opposite side when I open the door and I totally get it. The stress of big and busy environments can feel compressed when everything is new and the ground feels just a bit unsteady. Still I give Boof so much credit for trying. She was brought to us when her person passed away and is really hoping for another chance to be someone's baby.
