Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arabella is one of TWENTY fragile domestic bunnies who were found outside abandoned. It's incredible that the rabbits at this location have survived thus far, but with the seasons changing, it won't be for long. With the temperatures plunging, predators searching for easy prey, and passing cars, RBARI stepped in along with other rescues to help remove them from this critical situation.

Arabella is beginning to warm up and adjust to the indoors, getting curiouser every day. They spend their days doing bunny flops in their cage and falling asleep without a care in the world, now that they are safe.

Arabella will need a person who understands the transition that she has gone through and give her the time, calm, and understanding to give her the best life possible.

Submit Application

Once your application is sent, you will receive an email with instructions/next steps. Please allow our team up to one week to respond.

Approve Application

Our team will perform all relevant veterinary and landlord references and will call with the status of your application.or any questions.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, our staff will call your family, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal of interest.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once all family members meet with our team, and all agree to the match, you can take the animal home at that time.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

You will be sent the adoption paperwork, and further information that is needed to complete the adoption.

More about this shelter

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
