Coconut & her littermates are Shepherd mixes & about 7 weeks old. Mommy is a small 45 pounds, Daddy is unknown. Nana thinks we will be “Large to Medium dogs”. Right now, we are 6-10 pounds. We play, sleep, eat, play, sleep, eat, play, & oh ya we eat! We are teething so we are mouthy, but easily redirected. We are pretty rowdy & love to find all the toys! We also love snuggle time. Nana, Moose, & the big guy will play with us until we are tired. Then the magic happens they drape a towel in their laps & one by one we crawl up & start our snuggle/snooze time. We feel so safe & loved. Everyone should have snuggle/snooze time, let me tell you it’s the best! Pick me & I’ll show you how its done! Since we are about 7 weeks old, we will be ready for adoption in 1 week! Nana says we are going to have our own toys & our very own families, isn’t that great. We are super interested right now in anything that crinkles, bones, & balls. Although we don’t know what this “bring it back” or “come here” means yet… We don’t have any… ummm… what’s that Nana… oh ya we have “No skills”. Nana says we will learn how to walk on a leash, sit, stay, come, & go potty outside. Will you be the one to teach us? We need a strong & supportive leader, & we will be amazing dogs! Well gotta run it’s snuggle time I don’t want to miss a minute of it! Come look up me & my litter mates, love ya! Pick me, Pick me! DATCP #483538

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application at rescuegang.org/adopt.
Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application.
An adoption is not considered without a completed application. This step will let us know if your household is what our animal needs to feel safe and comfortable!
Step 2: Background Check, Landlord Check, Vet Check
We will check to make sure that you do not have any violent charges, are allowed pets where you live, and will check with your vet to make sure your animals have remained up to date on testing, vaccinations, and checkups.
Step 3: Meet and Greet
If approved, our adoption coordinator will set you up with the foster parent’s contact information. It is up to you to call the foster parent and schedule a meet and greet.
Step 4: Home Visit
One of our volunteers will come to your house and conduct a home visit with the help of a checklist.
Step 5: Adoption Decision
Rescue Gang will decide if both parties would make a great fit for each other! If so, we can go about finalizing your adoption! Please keep in mind that an approved application does not necessarily mean that you *are* going to be able to adopt the animal you applied for.
Please note:
An approved application means that your have passed the initial screening process and may proceed to the following steps. The animal you are interested in may have more than one application and may have already found his/ her forever home before you are able to meet. In that case, your application will remain active for 90 days
