My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get to know Wilma:

Wilma's a simple gal, a southern belle, and currently recovering from a bad injury- she was found outside a "car repair" place.... they didn't know how to repair a puppy so she was taken to the rescue after she was found. It was a really scary and sad situation but for Wilma, it started her REAL life- one of love and eating regularly and having HOPE!
She's an absolute cutie with her scruffy ears and few spots on her white coat. She has a pretty smile and loves to wag her tail. The rescue people think Wilma is a Standard Poodle/Sheepdog mix... she has such a wonderful and outgoing personality.
She is great with all people she meets and the smile she shares will melt everyone's heart, so be prepared!!!

She'll be living a bit more laid back right now as her recovery process progresses. No high energy play or crazy activities. But that won't be for long!!! She is still a pup and now that she is fixed up and fed well and LOVED by the rescue people, she has LOTS OF FUN and LOTS OF ENERGY :)

Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
