Sweet Chewy may be small in stature but he is big in personality. We believe he may be a Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd mix. This handsome fella is estimated to be around one year old and he weighs 40lbs. He is a calm, mild mannered and gentle dog. He is very good walking on leash, although he does take his time so patience during walkies is important. He rides great in the car and is not a big barker. He is super friendly with all dogs and does well with cats. Chewy loves all people - adults and kids of all ages - everyone he meets is a friend. He is mostly potty trained, but he is doing well and catching on fast. He can run/walk a 5k and then cuddle beside his person on the couch. He has the most amazing blue eyes and he will stare into your eyes longing for a treat. He is food motivated and smart. He is learning to play with toys as they seem to be a new concept to him. His favorite thing is chewing on a Benebone. He is happy to sleep on his nice soft doggy bed or in the human bed next to his person. He’s a bit of a shadow and he thrives on praise and attention. He is not mouthy or very vocal. He is just a chill kinda guy looking for someone who will love him as much as he will love them.
