My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From the owner:
"I hope someone will be able to give sweet, shy Roxanne a great new home. She really needs to be an only cat. Unfortunately my older female has bullied her since she was a kitten, making Roxanne REALLY fearful of other cats.

When she's with her people one-on-one she is a TOTAL LOVE BUG, and just wants to curl up with you in a warm blanket and will purr and make biscuits for you. She loves to climb up the cat tree and enjoys chasing jingle-balls and feather toys.

Unfortunately, when my other cat is around, she is so traumatized she just hisses and runs to find a place to hide as quickly as possible. It's heartbreaking. We've tried to separate them and do slow-reintroductions, but it's gotten to the point that Roxanne is just terrified and spends a lot of time hiding. She needs someone to love her as an only pet and be patient with her.

She's barely over a year old, and already spayed. She currently eats Purina ONE kitten food, but should be ready to switch to an adult kibble now. Just updated her flea treatment so she will be good for a whole month (due again 11/13).

Roxanne deserves to be in a home where she doesn't have to be afraid, and we hope a special person or family is out there just for her."

More about this rescue

Feral Folk was originally founded to rescue and spread awareness about mislabeled shelter cats, and to promote TNR efforts for true ferals. We currently provide TNR services to the New London, WI area, and can assist in transporting barn cats to spay/neuter clinics.

While intakes of friendly adoptables are currently closed, we are happy to share courtesy posts for community members in need of finding a new home for their cats. Reach out to feralfolkmail@gmail.com or find us on Facebook if you want to submit a courtesy post.
