My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coral and her sister were wild-born kittens who were rescued by a kindly man who would not give up on them. Although she was shy at first, Coral has blossomed into a sweet, confident, playful (and beautiful!) kitten. We think, though, that she would still prefer a home without TOO much commotion -- older kids or calm and gentle younger kids would be fine. Coral also loves string toys and the laser pointer, and chasing with her buddies.

Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
