My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little girl is called Franny and she is a delightful girl that defies definition. This beautiful black corgi / dachshund mix girl is only 2 to 3 years old and weighs 24 lb. It's kind of hard to explain all the Great things about this little girl because you really need to meet her.  What we can say, is she brings a smile to everyone's face when they meet her. She's a little dog ' being' that you call an 'It girl'.  The kind of dog that just has charisma and charm and approach-ability that is rare. This little girl was displaced because her young family fell on hard times and they were desperate to not take her to a shelter but to find a rescue that could help. She is getting spayed October 14th and she has had several litters of puppies in the past. She has a little bit of a poochie droop on her lower tummy which will eventually draw up over time as she matures. Too many litters in a short lifetime. She's got the shortest little Dachshund legs ever. She's 90% house broken right now, but also figuring out all the potty break schedules in this new foster home. She's getting used to the crate but she would prefer to sleep in bed with you if you would allow. Great with other dogs, good with cats and has been around very very young toddlers. She loves to ride in the car and as you can see she wears nothing but a smile when she's sitting in the front passenger seat as your co-driver. Franny has the adorable Corgi ears, an email forgettable personality, the adorable size and funny little trick of sitting up on her square butt for dog treats. Right now, she's a little anxious and has some separation anxiety and just wants to be by your side constantly. We understand because she went from her original home to the mother-in-law's home and then to us and it's a lot for her to adjust to. She's a smile a minute and she's available for the right home that can give her the next 15 years to grow old with. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
