My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a truly special girl who just needs a little extra love and care
to help her blossom! At 3 years old, she's at a wonderful age where she can
still learn and adapt to a new environment, especially with someone who can
provide her the patience she needs. She weighs 11.8 pounds and we think a
Rat Terrier mix ?. Her background of being left abandoned in a carrier shows
that she hasn't had the best start, but it's heartwarming to hear that she's
starting to come out of her shell and enjoy her surroundings in the
sanctuary. With gentle encouragement and a loving approach, she will surely
thrive in her forever home. Her friendly nature with other small dogs and
her enjoyment of gentle play, like chase and pounce, are fantastic
indicators that she will fit in well with the right family. It's also great
that she's learning to use potty pads and how to follow commands, which
means she's already making strides in her training. Since she needs leash
training and is getting used to walks in a stroller, it's clear that she'll
need someone who can continue her training and socialization. A quiet adult
home would likely provide the calm and stable environment she needs to
continue to grow and feel secure. Maggie is spayed, currently vaccinated
and microchipped. If you're considering adopting Maggie, you'll be making a
huge difference in her life. She deserves all the love and care that comes
with a forever home. Don't hesitate to apply if you feel that you can be
that gentle caregiver for her! OFFICEIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At

We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
